Prince Pierre Foundation Announces 2024 Award Winners at Monte-Carlo Gala

The prestigious Prince Pierre Foundation Awards ceremony was held at the Opéra Garnier in Monte-Carlo, with HRH Princess Caroline of Hanover presiding over the event. Celebrated on the evening of October 8, the ceremony recognized outstanding contributions in literature, music, and philosophy. The event, hosted by journalist Arnaud Merlin from France Musique, was marked by the presence of notable figures from various cultural spheres.

In the field of literature, Mathieu Belezi was honored with the Literary Prize for his significant contributions throughout his career. Meanwhile, Mokhtar Amoudi received the Discovery Grant for his debut novel ‘Les conditions idéales’, and Cécile Tlili was chosen by high school students for the High School Students’ Choice Award for her novel ‘Un simple dîner’. These awards underscore the foundation's commitment to fostering literary excellence.

Musical achievements were also celebrated, with Hans Abrahamsen receiving the Musical Composition Prize for his lifelong contributions to music. Additionally, young composer Paul Novak was recognized with the Young Music Lovers’ Choice Award for his composition ‘Prisms and Mirrors’. In philosophy, Souleymane Bachir Diagne was awarded the Principality Prize for his comprehensive body of work, a collaboration between the Philosophical Encounters and the Prince Pierre Foundation. These accolades highlight the foundation's role in promoting exceptional talent across diverse disciplines.
