Prince Albert Lauds Paris 2024 Olympics, Commends Monegasque Athletes

HSH Prince Albert of Monaco recently shared his insights on the Paris 2024 Olympic Games with Monaco Info, praising the event's atmosphere and execution. As a spectator of various sports including athletics, basketball, and swimming, Prince Albert commended the Games, noting the public's "extraordinary state of mind" and "incredible enthusiasm." These elements, he remarked, not only uplift French sports but also invigorate the entire Olympic movement.

The Prince also reflected on the performance of the Monegasque athletes, a balanced team consisting of three female and three male competitors. Despite not securing medals, Prince Albert emphasized that the Olympics transcend mere victory, representing instead a broader celebration of sport and spirit. He expressed a desire for better results but reiterated that participating holds greater significance than medals.

Expressing pride in the national athletes, Prince Albert affirmed that they "did honour to the Principality" through their participation. His engagement with both the events and the athletes highlights Monaco's ongoing commitment to the Olympic ideals and the development of sports, both locally and globally.
