In a ceremonial event at the construction site of the new Princess Grace Hospital (NCHPG), HSH Prince Albert II led a flag-raising to commemorate the completion of Phase 1 of the building's structural work. Attended by Monaco's top officials including Minister of State Didier Guillaume, and Vice-President of the National Council Jean-Louis Grinda, the ceremony marks a pivotal step towards enhancing Monaco's healthcare facilities.
According to Céline Caron-Dagioni, Minister of Public Works, Environment, and Urban Planning, the completion of this phase signifies a considerable advancement in the project which began in 2015. The construction has so far utilized 40,000 cubic meters of concrete, 8,000 tons of steel, and involved over 500,000 hours of labor. This phase will support 75 percent of the hospital’s operations once completed, underscoring its scale and capacity.
This development not only promises to bolster the healthcare services in Monaco but also extends its benefits to the surrounding regions, illustrating the principality's commitment to health and welfare advancements. The involvement of various government dignitaries including Christophe Robino, Minister of Social Affairs and Health, and Lionel Beffre, Minister of the Interior, further highlights the project's significance to the broader Monegasque community.
