Monte-Carlo is set to welcome a significant upgrade to its cherished local crèche, introducing modern enhancements alongside eco-friendly innovations. Deputy Mayor François Lallemand, with Benjamin Marchal, Head of Technical Services, recently showcased the ongoing renovations to members of the Communal Council. Initiated in July, the project aims to revamp the crèche's 535 square meters to meet contemporary standards in early childhood care, including improved accessibility, technical system upgrades, and the replacement of old windows.
The renovation extends its commitment to sustainability by repurposing much of the existing materials, which have been donated to neighboring communities such as Beausoleil and Antibes. This initiative ensures that the project minimizes waste and contributes positively to the broader region. The initial budget of €1.24 million was adjusted to €1.4 million to accommodate unforeseen requirements, including enhanced soundproofing and network improvements.
Looking forward, the crèche is expected to reopen in early 2025. It will provide a state-of-the-art facility for 40 children, featuring both upgraded amenities and a focus on environmental responsibility. This development not only reflects Monte-Carlo's dedication to quality early childhood education but also its commitment to sustainable practices.
