A delegation from Monaco, headed by Deputy Mayor Marjorie Crovetto, is currently in Strasbourg to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Monaco’s membership in the Council of Europe. The delegation, which is active through October 3, also includes Deputy Mayor Jacques Pastor and Municipal Councillor Nada Lorenzi, both prominent figures in Monaco's local governance. Their presence underscores Monaco's ongoing commitment to the ideals and cooperation fostered by the Council.
During the commemorative events, a highlight is set for October 2 with a keynote speech from HSH Prince Albert II. Additionally, an artistic installation by renowned artist Mr. OneTeas will be unveiled, a project to which the Monégasque delegates have personally contributed. These activities not only highlight Monaco’s diplomatic engagements but also its cultural contributions to international forums.
Monaco’s consistent participation in the Council's Congress of Local and Regional Authorities is a testament to its active role in European affairs. The principality's initiatives, such as the environmental campaigns “Monaco Zero Cigarette Butt,” “A Birth, A Tree,” and “Mùnegu Repair Café,” have been featured in the Council’s Human Rights and Environment manual, showcasing Monaco's leadership in integrating human rights and environmental sustainability.
