Monaco Leaders Host Breakfast to Highlight Gender Equality, Empower Girls

In a significant event marking the International Day of the Girl, Monaco's Mayor Georges Marsan, alongside Deputy Mayor Chloé Boscagli Leclercq, hosted a pivotal breakfast to spotlight gender equality and champion the rights of young girls within the Principality. The occasion, attended by key members of the Municipal Council and representatives from various Monegasque institutions and associations, featured a pop-up exhibition that amplified the perspectives of children on gender-related issues.

During the event, Mayor Marsan reiterated the Municipality’s enduring commitment to eradicating gender inequality and fostering an environment where girls can freely pursue their aspirations. "It is imperative that we remain proactive and vigilant in our society to ensure that every girl is given the opportunity to realize her potential fully," he stated, underscoring the importance of sustained vigilance and proactive measures.

Deputy Mayor Leclercq took the opportunity to discuss an ongoing collaboration with Céline Cottalorda, the Interministerial Delegate for Women’s Rights, involving interactive sessions with children at the Mini-Club. She shared insights from these engagements, noting, "Year after year, listening to these young voices express their views on gender equality is not only enlightening but also a reminder of the critical role they play in shaping a more equitable future." The thoughtful reflections gathered from these sessions were displayed in the Town Hall, enriching the community's engagement with the young generation’s viewpoints on such a crucial topic. This initiative is part of Monaco's broader commitment to maintaining gender equality as a key element of social discourse in the Principality.
