Monaco Government Convenes to Enhance Anti-Corruption Strategies with Expert Advice

The Monaco Government convened under the leadership of the Minister of State on Thursday to deliberate on the enhancement of anti-corruption measures within the Principality. The meeting, enriched by insights from experts Marc Segonds and Gilles Duteil, focused on refining strategies to fortify Monaco against corruption, aligning with international standards and recommendations.

This session was a direct follow-up to the findings of a report released by the Group of States against Corruption (GRECO) on July 24, which outlined several areas for improvement in Monaco’s anti-corruption policies. Government officials engaged in detailed discussions to outline practical steps that adhere to GRECO’s guidance, aiming to bolster the Principality's commitment to maintaining its institutional integrity while advancing its anti-corruption framework.

The discussions also extended into a special session involving the General Secretariat of the Government and the Directors General of the Ministerial Departments. This was aimed at ensuring a cohesive approach across various sectors, reinforcing Monaco’s dedication to systemic integrity and transparency in governance.
