Monaco City Hall Delegation Marks 60 Years of Twinning in Ostend Visit

A delegation from Monaco, led by First Deputy Mayor Camille Svara, will visit Ostend, Belgium, from October 6 to 8 to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the cities' twinning, established on January 26, 1964. The visit, which is the first official trip to Ostend since 2008, highlights the longstanding relationship between the two municipalities.

During their stay, the Monaco delegation, which includes Deputy Mayors Jacques Pastor and Karyn Ardisson Salopek, as well as Councillor Nathalie Vaccarezza, will attend various formal events. A key event will be a reception at Ostend City Hall, where the delegates will have the honor of signing the guest book, further cementing the friendship and cooperation between the two cities.

This visit follows the recent participation of Ostend officials, Silke Beirens and Maxime Donck, in Monaco’s Sainte-Dévote festivities last January. The ongoing exchanges between Monaco and Ostend continue to foster mutual understanding and collaboration, enhancing the cultural and administrative ties initiated over six decades ago.
