Michael Humphreys to Tackle Fourth Marathon in Monaco of 30-Day Global Challenge

On Monday, October 7th, 2024, Michael Humphreys will take to the prestigious streets of Monaco, marking his fourth marathon in consecutive days as part of a remarkable athletic and charitable endeavor. Humphreys, a 33-year-old personal trainer from East Yorkshire, UK, aims to complete 30 marathons across 30 countries in just 30 days, rallying support and raising awareness for Motor Neurone Disease (MND), commonly known as ALS.

Humphreys began his marathon journey in Barcelona and has since completed runs in Spain, Andorra, and France. By navigating across Europe alone, without a support team, and resting in his van, he emphasizes the dire need for attention and research towards MND, inspired by personal losses and the struggles faced by his friends affected by this debilitating disease.

The Monaco marathon represents a critical point in his quest, as he continues to push the limits of his endurance. Despite facing substantial physical and logistical challenges, Humphreys remains committed to his cause, inviting global attention through his social media platform, @mikeyhumph. His journey will culminate in his hometown of Hull on November 2nd, aiming to bring his challenging yet inspiring mission full circle.
