Isabelle Berro-Amadeï, Monaco’s Minister of Foreign Relations and Cooperation, represented the principality at the 45th Francophonie Ministerial Conference (CMF) in Paris. The gathering, which took place on October 3, was a prelude to the 19th Francophonie Summit, an event Prince Albert II of Monaco is set to attend. This year's summit, themed “Create, Innovate, and Entrepreneur in French,” focuses on leveraging the French language as a tool for innovation and economic development within the Francophonie community.
During her address, Minister Berro-Amadeï underscored the relevance of the summit's theme to the Francophone nations. She articulated that the theme not only showcases the potential within the Francophone sphere but also solidifies the commitment to democratic stability and societal prosperity. Moreover, she stressed the importance of fostering the French language as a medium for preserving cultural heritage and enhancing the diversity of the Francophone world.
Looking ahead, the Francophonie Ministerial Conference is set to reconvene in the autumn of 2025 in Kigali, Rwanda. This future meeting will continue to build on the foundations laid by its predecessors in promoting French linguistic and cultural values on a global stage.
