Four new ambassadors officially presented their credentials to Prince Albert II of Monaco, marking the formal commencement of their diplomatic missions in the Principality. The ceremony, held on September 18, was followed by a luncheon at the Hermitage Hotel, hosted by Isabelle Berro-Amadei, Monaco’s Government Counsellor-Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation. The ambassadors, representing Uruguay, Colombia, Angola, and the Holy See, each bring a wealth of experience to their new roles in Monaco.
Jorge Luis Jure Arnoletti of Uruguay, who also serves as ambassador to France and Algeria, has a rich diplomatic background with assignments in New York, London, and Lebanon. Hernando Alfonso Prada Gil of Colombia comes with a strong legal and political foundation, having been Minister of the Interior and a longtime law professor. From Angola, Guilhermina Prata, former Minister of Justice and President of the Constitutional and Legal Affairs Commission, now also serves as Ambassador to France.
The addition of these diplomats underscores Monaco’s dedication to strengthening international relations and fostering diplomatic engagement. This event not only reinforces the Principality’s role in global diplomacy but also highlights its commitment to maintaining and enhancing partnerships with these nations.
