AS Monaco emphatically secured their spot in the last 16 of the Coupe de France with a 4-1 victory over Union Saint-Jean. The match, held at the Stadium de Toulouse, saw Monaco bounce back assertively from their recent defeat to Paris Saint-Germain. Coach Adi Hütter's pre-match strategy included key rotations, introducing Yann Lienard as goalkeeper and adjusting positions to strengthen the team's attack and midfield dynamics.

The game began with Monaco setting a commanding pace, quickly asserting control and creating multiple scoring opportunities. Eliesse Ben Seghir, following an assist from Breel Embolo, opened the scoring with a pivotal goal in the 20th minute. This was soon followed by Vanderson's close-range goal, giving Monaco a solid 2-0 lead by halftime. The team's dominance persisted into the second half, with Jordan Teze and substitute George Ilenikhena adding to the tally, ensuring a robust finish despite a late consolation goal from Union Saint-Jean.

With this victory, Monaco not only progresses in the tournament but also sets a positive tone for their upcoming challenges, including a significant matchup against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions Trophy. The draw for the next round of the Coupe de France is eagerly anticipated, with the team looking to maintain their competitive momentum.
