AFU Launches Second 'Mois de la Santé Masculine' to Promote Men's Health Awareness in Monaco

In a concerted effort to enhance men's health awareness, the French Association of Urology (AFU) has launched the second edition of "Mois de la Santé Masculine" this November, aligning with the global 'Movember' movement. The campaign aims to break the societal taboos that often deter men from discussing and seeking help for their intimate health issues, which if caught early, could be more effectively treated.

Throughout the month, French urologists will be at the forefront, educating the public on a range of critical men's health issues, including prostate and testicular cancers, prostate enlargement, as well as male fertility and contraception options. The AFU highlights a common reluctance among men to discuss these personal health concerns with their physicians, leading to delays in diagnosis and treatment. The campaign seeks to eradicate these stigmas by providing accurate information and encouraging men to proactively manage their health.

To facilitate this, the AFU is organizing events, informational sessions, and offering free consultations across France to foster open dialogue and provide men with a supportive environment to discuss their health concerns. Additionally, educational materials will be distributed to dispel myths and improve understanding of these significant health topics. The overarching goal of "Mois de la Santé Masculine" is to ensure men feel comfortable and supported in addressing their health, thereby promoting earlier interventions, better treatment outcomes, and healthier lives for men across the board.
